Order content is the little modal that pops up with the order link/tabs when viewing an order. The blue links at the top.

In order to have a wide modal or a tall modal you must set an initial size. Nick from miva dev support has this to say:

There's no wide or narrow setting. The order tab dialog loads your tab's content (Module_Order_Content) in an iframe that starts at 500 × 145 px. When the iframe finishes loading, the dialog measures the iframe page's scrollWidth and scrollHeight

and resizes itself to match. The width is capped at the browser

window's width. Notes comes up wide because its content is wide. Most

module tabs have small forms, so they stay near 500 px.

To force a wide modal, give your tab's content a fixed width or minimum width:

<div style="min-width: 900px;">
... tab content ...
</div>

<MvFUNCTIONRETURN VALUE = 1>

You can also put the CSS in Module_Order_Head instead of inline, for example #mytab_wrapper { min-width: 900px; }.

Some other things to know:

  • Percentage widths don't work. width: 100% is measured against the iframe's starting 500 px, so the dialog never grows. Use pixels, or min-width.
  • It only measures once, when the page first loads. Content added later by JavaScript, or a table that grows after an AJAX call, won't widen it. The starting HTML needs to be the size you want. A later Modal_Resize() only re-centers the dialog; it doesn't resize the iframe.
  • The browser window sets the maximum. On a narrow window, a 900 px tab gets cut down to what fits, and the content inside scrolls.
  • Height works the same way, so a tall tab also gets a tall dialog.
