Template Editor
last updated February 25, 2020
The template editor is a different engine than the "regular" wysiwyg editor.
The official help page for the template editor is here: http://getcontenttools.com/demo
Start Editing
Once you load a template post you'll notice a little blue pencil icon in the upper left corner of the page. Click this to start editing.
Save or Exit
Once you have begun editing save your work using the green checkbox or exit without saving using the red X. If you have autosave turned on then your changes are saved even if you click on the red X.
Edit Text
Edit any text or other elements in the post by clicking on them.
Move the Menu
The floating menu can be dragged and dropped anywhere on the screen.
Move Text, Images, Other Elements
To move an element click on an element and drag it.
For text elements you have to hold the click for a second before it will turn into a draggable element.
To create a copy of the element while drag and dropping, hold the alt key before clicking on the element, then drag and drop as normal to create the copy.
Change Properties
When you edit something a tag will show up in the lower left corner of the screen. Click on it to bring up a properties box where you can add or change CSS and other properties.
When you click on the tag (it won't always be P, it changes based on what you are editing) a properties box will pop up.
Depending on what kind of element you clicked on and what the template settings are you may have more options to add styles, titles, alt tags, and other settings to the tag.
