Email Reminders

Email reminders are a way to get your customers to review products and services on your website.

Email reminders work.

As soon as my beta-testers reminder emails went out, they each had a surge of reviews, mostly good.

Email reminders work because your customers don't have to do anything but click. The email comes in with clickable stars for each product they purchased so when it comes to rating their purchase, it doesn't get much easier than that.

Place the following page item code at the bottom of your global footer. This and the days setting below turns email reminders on.

Importing Ratings/Reviews

Currently this module can import data from Sebenza's review module. Let us know if you need to import other data.

Email Reminder Configuration

Send review reminder email to customer X days after their purchase. This sets the number of days to wait before sending out the reminder email. This settings and the email_reminder page item above turn on email reminders.
Number of seconds to wait between sending emails (email throttling) If you have a lot of hits, reminder emails won't be sent out with each page load, instead they will be throttled to however many seconds you put there. If left blank, it will default to 10 seconds.
Email address to use for sending Your sales or other email address.,/td>
Name to use for sending Your name or your store's name
Email subject Something like, "Rate Your Recent Purchase From My Store"
Email template to use Normally you'd select the SMR_REVIEW_EMAIL page template.
Miva Merchant URL This is used for voting, reviewing, and in the email reminder templates. Usually you don't have to fill this in, but check to see if the URL displayed is correct before continuing.
Show product codes in email reminder list This is the administration side. If yes, products purchased will be displayed in the email reminder list. If now, you can still hover over the order number to see which products were part of the order.
